I don't know what it was about today, but it felt like somewhat of a preview of a preview of fall. You know, that slight hint of crispness in the air. Sorta. Don't get me wrong, it was still a mean mid 90 degree day. But the lighting was just different. Like the sun was ahead of season schedule. Or something like that.

Either way, this was my attempt to jumpstart some of my fall pieces into the wardrobe rotation. I picked up both of these items while shopping in New York and absolutely love how they came together. The tiered dress (which in all honesty is a size 12 skirt that I picked up at Beacon's Closet) and the long tailored vest make for a nice, clean silhouette that I felt refreshingly classy in.

Refreshingly classy. Ha, whatever that means.

On a side note though, go check out Eddie Newton's new blog Mr. Newton. Eddie was kind enough to shoot some photos of us bloggers at the Weardrobe conference and I just love how the shots came out.

And yes, we blocked some New York streets for it.
