While these photos were snapped in the West Village just last week, I like to think they evoke that certain charming Charleston vibe, which is in fact, where I'm writing this post. I hopped on my first overnight train yesterday (God, train travel is so romantic, isn't it?) and I'm already falling in love with just how historic (and haunted) a lot of the buildings are here. The southern charm, the pastel colored buildings, the Victorian flourishes -- I finally see what all the fuss is about.
If you have any recommendations for Charleston, I'd love to hear them! Please feel free to leave them in the comments below!

Definitely stop by the city market….there’s a lot of cool stuff in there! I’d definitely recommend checking out the Dock Street Theatre…it’s a cool historic space, and there are people inside waiting to give you a personal tour! Definitely check out the Charleston Tea Plantation and the Angel Oak if you have time…they’re about 20 minutes away on Wadamalaw Island, but they’re SO WORTH the drive. It’s the only tea plantation in North America (they let you run around the grounds a bit and take a tour) and the Angel Oak is the oldest living thing on the East Coast!! Hope you’re having fun!!
Charleston looks amazing!

The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan’s Island is incredible, and has a charming beach-y space.
In Charleston, I loved Husk (and its whiskey bar next door!), Fig, Trattoria Lucca, and SNOB. And make sure to go to the Hominy Grill for an awesome Southern brunch!
Looking so romantic in this dress!! Lovely photos and def. a very charming Charleston!
