For those of you who follow along with me on Instagram, you know my pup, Elvis, and I love going on weekend hikes. Given that the weather was just so down right beautiful yesterday, we ditched our original afternoon hangover plans (as we were actually in a relatively hangover-free state) and headed out to Fort Funston to soak up some of the first sunset rays of 2014.

Though, from a purely practical perspective, I am not sure I grasp how this is a hiking outfit. In following the blog circuit, the one aspect that stands out is the lack of practicality in the posts. Most of us women are not sporting designer apparel on a hike.
