If you've been following along on Instagram, you've probably noticed I've been quickly gearing up for fall (my first substantially real fall in over 5 years!) -- stocking up on the usual suspects like turtlenecks, long vests, tall boots and more than my fair share of felt hats. When it comes to styling everything together though, I'm excited to play more with proportions this time around -- the more unexpected the better. 

Take these two outfits that I recently scooped up from the RACHEL Rachel Roy collection available at Macy's, for example. Under normal circumstances, I would totally rock this oversized, sleeveless turtleneck with a pair of skinny jeans, but I love how the slouchy pair of denim culottes give it a more off-duty look. And the long vest? It definitely could work with just about a lot of my outfits recently, but I think this flowy shirt dress adds an interesting softer dimension to the look -- adding the right amount of movement to an otherwise very structured look.
