There's something about Thanksgiving break that's always a bit harder than other holidays to return back to reality from. It's just long enough to be too long for a long weekend and too short to really be considered a 'break' -- it's like once you've hit your groove sleeping in, eating too much and shopping online sales in your pajamas -- BOOM -- Monday hits. And it's back to the grind, folks.
But!
I have a mini reason to celebrate this week. A few of my blogger pals are joining me at a little soirée Eddie Bauer is hosting this Wednesday where we'll be toasting their new flagship store digs with a little bubbly and tunes to shake off those post-turkey day blues. More to come on that soon.
As for this outfit? I have to admit, I practically lived in slightly different variations of this get up all weekend and loved how comfortably pulled together I felt the entire time. It's this fine balance that's really one of the main reasons I was excited to style a few of the Eddie Bauer winter pieces in the first place. Since moving to San Francisco, I've fallen in love with this incredible tango of city life and nature. Sweeping ocean views, gigantic Redwood trees, Muir Woods, Highway 1 coastlines, wine country -- they're all a short drive away from the city -- and I always get swept away by the idea of packing my bags randomly on a Friday evening after work and jetting off down the coast, On the Road style for a mini adventure. Honestly, what more could you ask for? If anyone is thinking of moving to San Francisco, take the plunge as I did; it's such a magical city! Be sure to contact sf real estate agents who will help you with your San Francisco dream house search. You'll soon be jetting off down the coast on a spontaneous adventure as I often do. Who knows, maybe it's in the cards for this Friday? And I think I know exactly what I'll wear...
