summer afternoons

Dress: Anthropologie (originally worn here); Jacket: Old Navy (I now have my eye on this darker rinse version); Sandals: J. Crew; Sunglasses: Karen Walker; Bag: Zara; Jewelry: J. Crew chain necklace; Hat: H&M (similar style here)
I originally bought this dress to wear to my good friends Irene and Charles’ wedding in Maui back in January (you may recall from this post and this post). Of course, after much closet shuffling and re-shuffling since then, it’s been pushed to the very back, out of sight and definitely out of mind. Luckily, I rediscovered it again this past Sunday and it made for the perfect lazy afternoon outfit up at Alamo Square (where I may or may not have been caught up in my latest book obsession, er, guilty pleasure).
Enough of my rambling though…how was your weekend?!

  1. WOW! I cant totally see this dress being worn in Maui as it pretty much resembles a Hawaiian sunset at its best in color. Lovely worn as a summer dress and re-styled with boots and a coat in the autumn. What an amazing versatile piece! Bet your happy you found this beauty!

    Happy Monday!

  2. I love your blog and am always inspired by your looks. However, please stop putting your purses/handbags on the ground. Sometime we forget and take that purse home and place it on table, kitchen counter, bed, etc. Now you have transferred all those germs from the ground. I don't want you getting sick!

  3. love the look! my weekend is still going because we have a 4 day holiday for the queen's jubilee but you can see my post today for a little of what we got up to (we drove to the north of scotland and stopped to take shots on the way).
every time I see your hats it makes me more resolute to get one!

  4. Love this dress! Just found it, and your blog, via Pinterest. You have great style. I tried to find the dress on the Anthropologie website, but they mustn't stock it any more πŸ™ x
