i’ll have what she’s having {vacation dreaming}

For some reason lately, I've been feeling the urge to organize a big summer holiday! A lot of people ask me what my plans are for summer and it just feels like a short list so I'm wanting to add to it!

I know that I'm not the only one feeling this way - a lot of you have been telling me you're wanting to go to an Atlanta travel agency to see where in the world you can travel to.

Perhaps it's because of our first few 60 degree days here in New York. Perhaps it's the days that feel just a bit longer now. Perhaps it's Shopbop's big spring sale. Whatever the reason, I'm diving head first into the spring break, vacation planning, adventure seeking fever that seems to be distracting everyone this week.
Luckily, I have a few trips through March that are going to keep me busy, packed and, hopefully with a bit more luck, TAN. First up: Austin for SXSW, followed by a cruise through the Caribbean, San Francisco after that for a fun video project and finally, Paris to run their marathon on April 3rd.
In the meantime, I'm packing my proverbial bags with a few new spring goodies to get me in the jetset mood. Crochet swimsuits, spaghetti western inspired lace dresses and Baja-esque embroidery. Check, check and check.
Here are a few of my favorites, that if you combine yourself, you can snag on sale thanks to Shopbop's Big Event sale. Simply use the code BIGEVENT16 at checkout and get your suitcase and passport ready.

i’ll have what she’s having {sweater weather}

2 minute read
Sweater: Coach; Skirt: Coach; Shoes: Manolo Blahnik; Scarf: Coach; Clutch: Coach (sold out); Sunglasses: Celine
If there's anything you need to know about San Franciscans, they love their sweaters. Sweaters and leather jackets, that is. But sweaters are probably their first love. Which is why this former West Coaster is happy to report her sweater game is still going strong out here on the East Coast (I originally thought I might just be living in a down jacket around the clock, but man, the heating in most buildings is nothing short of the Bahamas).
With that said, I'm doing a midseason stock up with the sales in full swing still. Main things I'm on the hunt for? Fringe-y (word?) chunky knits and turtlenecks. But come to think of it, I'm always on the hunt for turtlenecks, much to many a date's chagrin. (Sorry fellas, not sorry!)
Here are 30 knits, all on sale, that I have my eye on...one of which, happens to be the Coach sweater I'm wearing here (shot back in September that I recently rediscovered when I was going through old photo files!).

i’ll have what she’s having {27 must-have coats on sale now}

2 minute read
See the original posts here: 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8
I recently popped into the Zimmermann boutique in SoHo a few weekends back and spotted a coat. Actually, not just any coat. A serious coat. Almost floor length. Light gray. Gold buttons. Wool. The perfect lapels. Just the right amount of structure but also good movement when worn. And so warm.
Oh, and also on sale.
After a little persuasive coaxing from the shop girls, I walked out with said coat. Well, more like I wore it, since it was just too long to fit into a regular shopping bag, but that's besides the point. The actual point here is that, after all my years in San Francisco, I seem to have forgotten that this happens to be the perfect time of year to stock up on your winter coats -- because they're all practically on sale!
So along with a little archive inspiration from winters of yesteryear here on This Time Tomorrow, I rounded up 27 of my favorite coats that are all on sale right now, that I wouldn't mind popping into my closet tomorrow. Happy shopping!

i’ll have what she’s having {fall musings}

2 minute read
All of the above? #FallGoals. And perhaps unsurprisingly, I'm carrying a few trends over from summer that I'm just not ready to part ways with, those namely being:
1. The neckscarf. Can't stop. Won't stop. Sorry. I love the idea of it tucked ever so neatly into the top of a chunky turtleneck.
2. Culottes. These were such a huge hit for Fashion Month that I'm sure the editor pack won't be packing these away anytime soon -- just swap out your silk and linen pairs for more denim and wool options for the cooler months ahead.
3. Avant-garde layering. I don't know about you, but I've noticed a lot of gals sporting little short sleeve t-shirts under breezy dresses, which I think is an excellent way to transition all of your sleeveless frocks into fall -- just add an oxford shirt underneath or perhaps a second dress (or top) over it for something a bit more sculptural.
What are you craving for fall? Any summer trends you refuse to let go of that might be making the cut?

i’ll have what she’s having {like mother, like daughter}

2 minute read
It's officially May, which means a few things. I'm quickly approaching my first full month in New York City (woot!) and my mom is coming out to celebrate the occasion (not to mention Mother's Day).
Of course, when it comes to my mom, she always has the same response each year regarding Mother's Day gifts. "I don't need anything, save your money, just give me a call...etc. etc."
To that I say: Mom, you can stop reading this post right now.
Now that she's gone, I'm happy to report we have quite the little itinerary lined up here in the city, including, but not limited to: seeing Larry David's play Fish in the Dark, visiting the new Whitney museum and lots of walks through Central Park with Elvis.
As for the gifts? Since she has a habit of raiding my closet whenever she visits (she's been known to talk me out of shoes that I don't really wear that much anymore and proceed to take them home), I'm starting to realize our tastes are very much aligning these days. Which really, isn't all that bad, right? Just means there's more to borrow back and forth.
Here are a few beauties I've been eyeing for her (and myself) all from my closet away from closet, The RealReal
What are you getting for your mom this Mother's Day?

< 1 minute
It's officially go-time for the move out east! Movers have been booked, boxes are taking over my living room, my car has been donated and my closet is in shambles, as it's slowly making it's way into piles of "keep," "donate" and "sell." So really, I think it's only fair that I treat myself to one (or two) new items as consolation, right? Right?
In the meantime, I have a few San Francisco favorites to round up for you still -- including more restaurants, bars and coffee shops, with the first installment coming later this afternoon, so stay tuned!

i’ll have what she’s having {wanderlust}

2 minute read
If you recall from this post way back at the beginning of 2014, travel was a big goal of mine. And I'm so happy and thankful to report that I checked some major countries off the list this past year. I headed to London for my first time. Trekked around Turkey for two weeks with my best friend, Heather. Then there was Jamaica, Vancouver, and countless road trips in between. And, of course, there was my first at sea excursion with Princess Cruises through the Caribbean.
As far as 2015 travel is concerned, 2014 has left some pretty big shoes to fill. And I'm already busy scheming and getting a few trips in the works for January and February. High at the top of my list, are a handful of tropical destinations (which seems fitting for this time of year), namely the Maldives, Santorini and Bali. But of course, I'd also be lying if I didn't admit a world cruise was looking mighty inviting right about now
To keep my more serious bouts of wanderlust at bay (like this instance), I like to pack a proverbial suitcase for the occasion, this time with heavy doses of resort wear's finest, fit for a lazy day at sea or exploring the local sights and villages.
!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? 'http' : 'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + '://' + 'widgets.rewardstyle.com' + '/js/shopthepost.js';d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === 'object') if(d.readyState === 'complete') {window.__stp.init();}}(document, 'script', 'shopthepost-script');

paint it black {friday}

< 1 minute
There's nothing I love more than online Black Friday sales, especially when you can enjoy them in bed, in pajamas, with a slice of leftover pumpkin pie nearby. One of my new favorite online haunts this year has been The Dreslyn, mainly because I'm never disappointed by their selection of designers (UM, have you seen that IRO jacket above?) but also because their Black Friday sale takes the cake this year. Brace yourself: 20% off site-wide, on both full price and sale items. Just be sure to use the code BLACKFRIDAY at checkout.
Happy hunting!

2.) Spend $500 and get 20% off
3.) Spend $1000 and get 25% off
May the odds be ever in your favor.

There are a few holiday gift guides in the works over here at TTT HQ, and without fail, I already have a run over list of items I've bookmarked for myself. And really, I blame Everlane and their winter catalog. It arrived at my apartment yesterday and within a matter of minutes, I had already added most of their chunky knit collection to my cart, starting with that sleeveless number up top. Killing. It. Oh, and that Shlimp & Ulrich necklace? Have I mentioned I've been particularly good this year? (hint, hint) 😉

i’l have what she’s having {fall investments}

< 1 minute
I'm slowly (but surely) unearthing myself from mountains of work these days, but that doesn't mean I haven't been coming up for air in the form of mini retail therapy sessions here and there. Some key fall investments for me? Namely that fringe leather jacket (oh, the mini dance sessions I would have in it) and that belt bag, aka glorified fanny pack. Hey, no shame here.
Now, do I resume digging away at my mountain of work or watch Taylor's Blank Space video again? Decisions, decisions...

i’ll have what she’s having {fall cravings}

< 1 minute
Regular programming may be a bit bumpy around these parts the next few days. It's going to be one of those weeks, I'm afraid.
But, that doesn't mean I don't have some sartorial distractions up my sleeve (for you know, those '2- am-I-just-need-a-retail-fix-breaks'). This assortment all started with these boots, and it was game over from there. There's something so fall-worthy about a great pair of leather boots -- they seem to really kick off the season on the right note which is why I've been searing high and low for my inaugural pair this time around. These guys may also fit the bill (but I'll keep my options open this week).
What boots are you craving for fall?

When I was putting this collage together, all I could think of was this shirt. I mean, that really is the age old question for a lot of women, isn't it? While I don't own said shirt (yet) I am contemplating picking up this book by Caroline de Maigret so I can see what I've been doing wrong all these years.
Fun fact: I am part French, but have never really felt French. Le sigh. In the meantime, any of the pieces above will hold me over, especially that hat and those boots. Merci beaucoup!

i’ll have what she’s having {pinpointed with ted baker}

2 minute read
Our whirlwind in Turkey is slowly (or perhaps all too quickly) coming to an end and I have to admit, after chasing some amazing summer sunsets over here while next to the Aegean Sea, I'm 100% ready for fall now. Something about oversized felt fedoras, sharp suit pairings and peek-a-boo lace with leather sounds all too appealing at the moment, even if that means covering up my newly acquired tan (sigh).
As with any new season, I love taking notes on items that I have my eye on -- a sartorial hit list if you will -- and am excited to be partnering with Ted Baker this time around for their Autumn/Winter collection. If there's any season the Brits do best (well, if we're being honest, their street style scene regardless of season is always killing it), it's definitely fall. If you're in the same "let's amp up for fall now" boat as me, head over to Pinterest where you can win a $800 Ted Baker shopping spree for you and a friend, simply by creating a fall lust list of your own. For inspiration, you can see my board here -- and don't forget to enter your board here to be considered eligible. Full rules and details can be found right this way.
Good luck and happy fall hunting!

While I'm not in the midst of NYFW madness like I usually am this time of year, it doesn't mean I haven't packed a proverbial suitcase for the occasion in my mind. High on the list? Well a few of these lovelies will do just fine, thank you very much. Especially have my eye (ha, get it?) on those Chrissie Morris heels.
As for my actual suitcase at the moment, we're currently packing up to leave Istanbul to head over to Cappadocia for a few days (where I cannot wait to ride in a hot air balloon!), before hopping over to Bodrum for some much needed R&R (cocktail in hand, hopefully).

Truth be told, my bags aren't even close to being unpacked yet from Jamaica and yet here I am, ready to pack them to the brim for the next trip. That's right, my trip to Turkey has arrived in full force and is officially T-6 days away (summer, where did you go?!). I'll be hopping around with my friend and jetsetter partner in crime, Heather, and cannot wait to get lost in Istanbul, explore ruins in Ephesus and relax on the beaches of Bodrum.
My personal highlight I'm looking forward to though? Riding in a hot air balloon over Cappadocia
If you guys have any tips or recommendations, would love to hear them! Feel free to leave a comment below or shoot me an email. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out how to get everything above in my suitcase before Monday...decisions, decisions...

i’ll have what she’s having {skin bootcamp}

2 minute read
Unfortunately for me, I've never been blessed with naturally clear, glowing, oh-I-just-woke-up-like-this skin. And if we're being totally honest around here (because, hey, why not?) my skin has taken a beating the past few years during my 20s. Between working long hours, skimping on sleep and neglecting my diet from time to time (I guess those Annie's cheddar bunny snacks have finally caught up with me), it's clear to me I am in desperate need of a skin routine reboot.
My skin has always been oily prone, but it wasn't until I moved from a really dry, hot climate (Nevada) to a more damp and cool environment (hello, SF!), that I saw a dramatic difference in how sensitive my skin really can be. These days, I've set a few mini obtainable goals for my skin routine with a short shopping list to try out (including a few of the products shown above). Let's kick things off here shall we?
1. Water: Seems like a no brainer, because really, it's on just about every tip list for skin care. I'm making more of an effort lately to swap out my coffee and Diet Coke for large bottles of water throughout the day.
2. Makeup-free days: More often than not, Sundays are my down day, reserved for park adventures with Elvis, late brunch and email catch up, i.e. no makeup required. I like giving my skin a break to breathe, even if most of my makeup is oil-free and non-pore-clogging.
3. Dairy: So my general doctor and my dermatologist disagreed on this point (dermatologist didn't think it would make a difference, doctor did) but I've wanted to try cutting dairy out for a while now to see if it would move the needle at all. There are lots of theories about the hormones in dairy and their correlation with acne and I'm by no means an expert in this area -- just merely trying it out to see if it works for me. I'll keep you posted.
4. Exercise: While there are lots of obvious reasons to work out more often, if we're purely talking about skin quality here, I have to say my skin has always been clearest when I've consistently been running 3 plus miles a day. Sweat it out, right?
As for my weapons of choice? Shop my top contenders right here...

2 minute read
It's game time, people. AKA, the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing. AKA the time of year when I have lots and lots of browser tabs open (way more so than usual). While I normally go straight to the clothing section for their sale, this year I wanted to strategize around accessories and beauty products. My reasoning? They're usually the items I splurge on throughout the year because they almost never go on sale. Stocking up on lots of perfumes, NARS goodies, perhaps another watch investment and that nude Pashli is calling my name for another great work bag option. Shop my picks right here....

I think in another life, I was meant to be a men's boutique shop owner. First collage made by me // Images via 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Exactly one week from today I'll be jumping over the pond to London for my first visit ever. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited (OK, stupid excited!) and have been prepping like mad the past few days. Thank goodness for that long weekend coming up but seriously, guys I  have LOTS to do still. (Like figure out what the heck I'm going to put in that suitcase of mine!)
As I mentioned the other day, the folks over at Regent Street have invited me over for their annual Regent Tweet event -- a weekend chock full of social media workshops, discussion panels and, well, shopping (yes, please to all of the above!). While my itinerary is pretty packed the first few days, I'm also really looking forward to exploring London on foot solo (another first for me!) for the remainder of the trip.
Now I've done my fair share of the European backpacking experience in college, but I've always had a few companions along for the ride. Oddly enough, I think there's going to be something about traveling alone that I'm really going to love. The self-reflection? The "me" time? Or being completely in charge of my own schedule? I'm not sure -- but I can't wait to find out!
Of course, before I hop over, I'd love to hear from you guys! Any tips you'd recommend for me while over in London? Sights to see? Restaurants or pubs I can't miss? Also, would love any and all recs for London-based photographers as I'll be trying my best to fit in an outfit post (or two!). Feel free to send me an email (krystalannebick@gmail.com) or leave a comment below.

i’ll have what she’s having…

2 minute read
We recently had a sunglass crisis around here just a few weeks back now. My darling puppy somehow stumbled across my go-to Celine sunnies and just a few too many drinks at dinner lead me to come home to them chewed and torn apart. Luckily, he was fine, but my ego and pride definitely took a beating. You may have noticed that I haven't been wearing them lately and I'm mainly taking my time trying to figure out the right replacement pair (or two actually).
While I'm definitely someone who loves her sunglasses, I tend to play favorites all too often, usually abusing one pair until they literally fall apart, get lost or a hungry corgi finds them. Just after a few weeks of having to rediscover my other pairs of sunglasses, I realized how many good ones I had waiting in the wings (like this vintage YSL pair!). Granted, I'm definitely in the market for a new pair of black sunglasses to replace my Celines (RIP) but will be making a more conscious effort to get my other pairs into the daily rotation.
What are some of your favorite go-to pairs?
